Green Patriot Posters exhibit opens at Ed. Varie in NYC on April 21, 6-9 pm.  The show features new work by Julia Chiang (pictured here) , Kenzo Minami, Jiminie Ha, Deanne Cheuk, New Math and 2×4; and work by participants in the awesome AIGA/NY mentoring program.  Also, hosting a week of events, including a workshop and fundraiser by longtime ally Human Impacts Institute, a screening of Gasland by 350.org and green energy sign-up drive from our partners Community Energy! Honor Code

Green Patriot Posters recommends Kwame Anthony Appiah’s book The Honor Code.  It contains insight into why we chose to go with a patriotic theme in developing a campaign to invigorate the sustainability movement.  Quote:  “This sense of one’s own country as an actor in a wider world of other nations is one of the central pyschological underpinnings of modern nationalism.  And it is why the nation’s honor can be mobilized to motivate its citizens.”
